We are currently seeking talented, driven individuals to join our team as Coffee Industrial Trainees in Indonesia. This program offers comprehensive, end-to-end exposure to coffee manufacturing operations, providing a rigorous foundation in safety, quality management, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance.
## Program Responsibilities and Scope
As a participant in the Industrial Trainee program, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple critical business functions, ensuring you are fully prepared for long-term roles in the agro-processing industry.
Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE)
* Uphold rigorous adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards and Life Saving Rules.
* Manage Work Permit systems and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) protocols during maintenance cycles.
* Engage in Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) studies.
* Contribute to internal audits, toolbox talks, and detailed incident investigations.
Mill and Warehouse Operations
* Master the startup, shutdown, and cleaning procedures for complex milling machinery.
* Implement vital food safety controls, including HACCP, OPRP, CCP, and PRP, ensuring full traceability and EUDR compliance.
* Oversee daily warehouse logistics, including loading/unloading, inventory management via FIFO principles, and dispatch planning.
* Maintain accurate operational reporting and assist in weighbridge calibration checks.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
* Develop proficiency in coffee sensory evaluation, cupping techniques, and industry-standard quality specifications.
* Support blending optimization strategies and FSSC 22000 audit compliance.
* Drive operational excellence through 5S, TPM, and Six Sigma initiatives.
* Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI to monitor efficiency and reduce operational waste.
Engineering Projects
* Collaborate with vendors and contractors to execute facility projects.
* Develop and manage project Gantt charts, timelines, and progress documentation.
* Gain experience in project scoping, risk management, and site execution methods.
## Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, applicants must demonstrate a blend of technical academic knowledge and a proactive, learning-oriented mindset.
* Academic Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Food Technology engineering, or a related technical discipline.
* Technical Knowledge: Foundational understanding of food safety principles (HACCP, CCP, PRP) and production mass balance concepts.
* Professional Proficiency: Must be capable of working in a professional English environment.
* Digital Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is mandatory.
* Data Competency: Basic to intermediate knowledge of Power BI or a strong willingness to master data reporting and visualization tools.
* Practical Aptitude: Familiarity with machinery, processing environments, or general engineering systems.
